The circular economy is an economic activity that aims not only for 3R initiatives (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle) but also for the circulation of resources themselves.
In the Japanese polymer industry, we contribute to the circular economy by circulating carbon fiber—a key raw material—rather than discarding it, thereby advancing business practices that also support consideration for the global environment.
We produce products such as chopped fibers using post-consumer waste—virgin-quality scrap generated during manufacturing processes or molding stages before consumption—sourced from major carbon fiber manufacturers.
Additionally, we recycle post-consumer waste from CFRP products collected worldwide, extracting carbon fibers to create new products.
Carbon fiber is far lighter than steel yet boasts ten times the strength, offering overwhelming material properties such as thermal conductivity, heat resistance, and electrical conductivity. Its applications and demand continue to grow year after year.
As carbon fiber specialists, Japan Polymer Industries creates products that maximize the potential of this material. By continually engaging with carbon fiber and leveraging our accumulated experience and technology, we contribute to building a better society.
Our pre-consumer raw material sources are procured from major carbon fiber manufacturers both domestically and internationally. Additionally, post-consumer materials (discarded CFRP products such as aircraft stringers, hydrogen tanks, and golf shafts) are collected worldwide for recycling and effective utilization.
We not only produce standard items such as chopped fiber, milled fiber, paper, felt, and prepreg, but also offer tailor-made custom production to bring out the characteristics of each product, as well as high-quality OEM production.
In addition to our longstanding B2B business model, we also operate a B2C business, planning, developing, manufacturing, and selling original products under our own brand and collaborative products with partner companies for end users. All materials are environmentally conscious, utilizing post-consumer recycled resources. Together with new networks, we are constantly challenging ourselves to reach new stages.
In collaboration with partner companies, Japan Polymer Industries plays an active role as a material vendor. Using high-quality chopped fiber, paper, and other materials, we develop products that everyone can enjoy.
In planning and manufacturing carbon-based products, we leverage our long-cultivated expertise and technology as carbon fiber professionals. Japan Polymer Industries' technology is utilized not only for strength, lightness, and high workability, but also to draw out finer characteristics.
