Prepreg products are intermediate materials in a semi-cured state, created by uniformly impregnating reinforcement materials such as woven, paper, and felt with varnish based on thermosetting resin.
At Nippon Polymer Sangyo, we primarily manufacture using phenolic resin, which has high heat resistance, rather than common epoxy resin as the thermoset resin. Due to its heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and high strength, it is used in molded insulation materials and C/C composites.
Our base materials and resins are not limited to these. We handle a wide range of base materials including woven glass fiber and cotton fabric in addition to carbon fiber, as well as resins other than phenolic.
